Greetings KAHO Family,
I hope each of you are well and you are having a blast developing students. In the fall semester Dr. Chris Summerlin accepted a new opportunity in Georgia and left the Commonwealth. As a result he resigned his position as President of the Kentucky Association of Housing Officers. In January the remaining members of the Governing Council met to discuss the future and how to be successful to the Commonwealth. The Governing Council approved me to become the new president and serve in that role until the 2017 Annual Conference. The President-Elect position will be filled at the 2016 Annual Conference. I welcome any thoughts or feedback you may have.
I will be at SEAHO next week and I am very excited to see those of you who will be there. KAHO has deep roots in my career history and my heart. Kentucky itself holds some of the greatest talent in the country. Together we can accomplish great things and provide a bright future for not only KAHO but the students we serve each and every day. Best wishes for a safe and peaceful semester.
Chris Owens
